Who am I?

Why do I do this?

I’m a Sri Lankan-born British-Australian engineer and stand-up comic. Lots of nationalities, right? Gotta catch ’em all (passports, not Pokemon).

I have been an engineer for over 14 years, working across petrochemical plant design and energy markets in the UK, US, China, and Australia. I have also been a performer since I was a child, starting out in music and moving across to comedy whilst I was at university. This combination makes me the industry’s unicorn – demonstrably clever, credible, and funny.

I have hundreds of hours’ worth of professional MCing experience across gigs, walking tours, weddings and more. I created The Energy MC because the energy industry needs to make its events more engaging. If you’ve been to one lately (or ever), you’ll know I’m not wrong.
